The quality your Rancho Penasquitos Daycare will affect your child into their teens.
I was surfing the net the other day, looking for more ideas on upping the quality of my family home daycare, and I came across this interesting news report:
This report shows how long-term development of children into their teens is affected by quality daycare- whether it’s a Rancho Penasquitos Daycare or elsewhere.
News Report on how Quality Daycare affects children into their teens
So, how do you determine what makes a daycare quality or not?
Here’s my top 5 things to look for in a Quality Rancho Penasquitos Daycare:
1. Look for… …good Parent-Teacher communication. This is crucial so that you know what’s going on during the day with your child, and so that you can share both your goals and concerns regarding your child with your daycare teacher and provider. Also, this allows the provider to be open with you as a parent so that you can grow together on this journey of helping to care for your child. I not only make it a point to talk with each parent at the beginning and end of each day, but each Pooh’s Pals Rancho Penasquitos Daycare child gets their own report on the day of how things are going.
2. Make sure there’s a structured curriculum that allows for learning goals for each child, as well as flexibility needed to match individual learning styles.
3. Quality daycares will employ quality people. In my Pooh’s Pals Rancho Penasquitos Daycare, I’m very choosy with who I invite to be part of the Pooh’s Pals team! This means not only doing a thorough background and credentials check, but also making sure that their personality and motives for working in a daycare will serve the children well.
4. Look for a clean and organized environment that’s set up for fun.
5. Look for Creativity, Loving Environment & Fun! Afterall- a good foundation (cleanliness, structured curriculcum etc.) is important… but if there’s no love and no fun, what good is it? Creating an environment in my Rancho Penasquitos Daycare where each child feels loved and welcome is top on my list. I also wants the parents who trust me with their children at my Rancho Penasquitos Daycare to feel welcome as well (which is why I offer coffee and pastries in the mornings!).
That’s my top 5 things to look for in a quality daycare! Of course, it goes much deeper than that, and if you’d like more information, please feel free to contact me directly at my Rancho Penasquitos Daycare- Pooh’s Pals!
