Hello & Welcome to My Pooh’s Pals Blog!
I’ve been providing Rancho Penasquitos Childcare (Poway, Scripps Ranch, Sabre Springs & Carmel Mountain Ranch areas etc.) for 14+ years with Pooh’s Pals, and I Just Love It! Let me tell you why…
Running my Rancho Penasquitos Childcare is a Labor of Love!
In case you haven’t met me personally yet, my name is Patty Rubin, and I LOVE what I do! I’ve been running Pooh’s Pals Family Home Rancho Penasquitos Childcare since 1997, and I’ve always loved children! The fact that I get to combine my love for children along with my degrees (you know, those fancy things that give me that “academic stamp of approval”) in order to make a living is one of the greatest thrills (and biggest blessings) ever!
Children at Pooh’s Pals Rancho Penasquitos Childcare Have Fun While they’re Learning!
I know that for children to really learn, they have to be interested and engaged in what they’re doing. And for little ones, that means having fun! Through years of experience and studying many different curriculums for preschoolers, I’ve found the perfect combination of hands-on activities that kids both enjoy doing AND retain what they learn in the process. By using as many of the different senses and incorporating different learning styles, the kids stay engaged and have fun while they’re at it!
There’s a lot of Variety in a Typical Day at my Rancho Penasquitos Childcare!
You and I both know it- kids are not robots, and doing the same thing day in and day out is just plain boring! Of course, children need structure, and I and my certified Pooh’s Pals Teachers certainly provide some. Within that structure, there’s flexibility and room for variety. How do we determine what variety to add? Answer: It’s based on the strengths and interests of the Pooh’s Pals kids who are present that day. Some days we might have a lot more indoor activities such as crafts because a particular theme (like animals at the zoo) has us working on a cool project the kids will take home. Other days has us outside more, not only because we’re in beautiful San Diego… but also because using motor skills to learn and play keeps the kids happy (and is another way to reinforce certain learning styles!).
We do group activities, and one-on-one activities. Structured time, structured play and free play time.
The point is- Pooh’s Pals attract loving and busy parents of some great kids, and they all need a Rancho Penasquitos Childcare that they know will love, care for and teach their children while they work. While I and my teachers can certainly never take the place of parents, we aim to be the next-best-thing as we teach, love, laugh and play with the kids of Pooh’s Pals!
